🌱 Therapy That Meets You Where You Are
At Rooted Connections Therapy, I offer individual therapy for adults in a way that’s relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in compassion. Whether you're seeking support for a specific concern or simply feeling ready to reconnect with yourself, therapy can offer a space to slow down, process, and move forward with intention.
Each session lasts 50 minutes.
🌱 Individual Therapy (In-Office)
Sessions are offered in a peaceful, private office in Greenville, SC. Our work together is shaped by your needs—whether we’re processing trauma, navigating life transitions, managing anxiety, or reconnecting with your sense of self. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based care.
🌱 Walk and Talk Therapy
Walk and talk sessions take place outdoors and blend movement, fresh air, and the therapeutic relationship. This option may feel especially supportive if you find it easier to talk while walking, want to connect with nature, or are looking for a more embodied way to engage in therapy.
These sessions are offered in local parks and trails in Greenville, weather permitting. We'll discuss comfort, pacing, and privacy before beginning.
🌱 Telehealth Therapy
Virtual sessions offer the flexibility of engaging in therapy from your own space, whether you're at home or elsewhere in South Carolina. I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform to provide safe and effective care online.
Rates & Payment
- Initial Intake Session (60 minutes): $160
- Ongoing Therapy Sessions (50 minutes): $150 (This rate applies to in-office, walk and talk, and telehealth sessions.)
The intake session includes reviewing paperwork, gathering background information, and beginning to explore what brings you to therapy. While this process may naturally continue into the second session, only the first session is billed at the intake rate. Payment is due at the time of service.
I am currently in network with the following insurance panels:
Aetna
Quest Behavioral Health
I’m currently in the process of becoming in-network with several other insurance panels, including:
United Healthcare (Optum)

Oxford (Optum)
Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina
Each company has its own credentialing timeline. I’ll keep clients updated as in-network billing becomes available.
What to Consider When Using Insurance
A diagnosis is required. Insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis (e.g., anxiety, depression, PTSD) to authorize and reimburse services. This diagnosis becomes part of your permanent medical record.
Limited confidentiality. Certain treatment details — including your diagnosis, session dates, service type, and billing codes — are shared with your insurance provider for reimbursement.
Possible restrictions. Some plans limit the number of sessions, require prior authorization, or may not cover specific services.
Authorization requirements. In some cases, insurers may request a brief treatment summary or progress update to continue coverage.
What Is Not Shared
The full content of sessions
Detailed clinical notes
Personal details disclosed in therapy (unless required by law)
Note: Insurance companies are bound by HIPAA, but once information is submitted, it becomes part of your official medical record.
Choosing Self-Pay
Many clients choose to pay privately for therapy, even if they have insurance. Self-pay offers greater privacy and more control over your counseling experience.
Benefits of Self-Pay
No diagnosis required. We can focus on your goals without the need to assign a mental health diagnosis.
More flexibility. You choose the frequency, length, and direction of your sessions — not the insurance company.
Enhanced confidentiality. Your records stay between us, except where legally required to disclose.
No billing surprises. Self-pay eliminates concerns about denied claims or sudden changes in coverage.
I can also provide a superbill upon request for clients wishing to seek out-of-network reimbursement.
